Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 27, 2026. This Privacy Policy describes how Arezdev ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the Arezguard Chrome extension ("Extension") and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Arezguard is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect the absolute minimum data necessary to operate the service:

  • Account Information: When you create an account (optional, for Premium features), we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your email and display name from Google.
  • Payment Information: Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We store only a Stripe Customer ID and Subscription ID. We never see or store your credit card number, CVV, or full billing address.
  • Support Messages: If you contact us via the support form, we collect the name, email, and message content you voluntarily provide.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

The following data is never collected, transmitted, or stored on our servers:

  • Your Reddit browsing history or activity
  • The content of posts or comments you view
  • Your blocked communities, users, or keywords lists (stored locally on your device)
  • AI classification results or neural network outputs
  • Any form of browsing analytics or tracking data
  • Cookies or fingerprinting data from the extension

3. Local Data Processing

All AI-powered spam and promotion detection runs entirely within your browser using a neural network model. Post content is processed locally and never transmitted to any external server. Classification results are cached in browser memory and cleared when the browser session ends.

Your extension settings, blocked lists (communities, users, keywords), and preferences are stored using the Chrome Storage API on your device. This data is not synced to our servers.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Google OAuth: Used for account authentication. We access only your email and display name. OAuth tokens are stored locally in the extension via chrome.identity.
  • Stripe: Processes premium subscription payments. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy (https://stripe.com/privacy). We do not access or store full payment details.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Account data is retained for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at support. Upon deletion, we remove your name, email, payment references, and any support messages from our databases.

Local extension data (settings, blocked lists) can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome's extension storage.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure password hashing (bcrypt), and JWT-based authentication with expiring tokens. Our backend API enforces input validation and output encoding to prevent common vulnerabilities.

7. Children's Privacy

Arezguard is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
